Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a heartwarming wedding ceremony on June 23. The couple later hosted a grand reception party for their friends and colleagues from the film industry and it was a star-studded event. They have finally shared a video from their intimate wedding ceremony and it is heartwarming. The couple can be seen dressed in traditional white attires and are seen standing with their parents.

Sharing the video, Sonakshi wrote, "Family, friends, love, friendship, laughter, silly comments, kids running around, happy tears, warm hugs, excitement, bloopers, screeches, fun, joy, anticipation, nerves, emotions and above all just pure happiness this was our chaotic little Shaadi ka ghar… and it was PERFECT… it was US."

Earlier, sharing the pictures from their wedding, Sonakshi wrote, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi - Zaheer 23.06.2024."

Sonakshi's father Shatrughan Sinha bashed the trollers for criticising his daughter's interfaith marriage. A protest was also held in Shatrughan Sinha’s hometown Patna in Bihar by the Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena, who called the interfaith marriage ‘love jihad’ and asked Sonakshi not to visit Patna ever in her life.

In an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan said “Anand Bakshi saab has written about such professional protestors, ‘Kucch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this I would like to add, ‘Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai (For unemployed people, this is all the work they have).’ My daughter has done nothing illegal or unconstitutional.”

“A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life. Aur kucch nahi kehna (I have nothing else to say),” he added.

Sonakshi and Zaheer were seen together in the movie 'Double XL'. They were reportedly dating for over seven years.
