Sonali Bendre is one of the popular and loved leading actresses of the 90s and early 2000s. Beside dominating the silver screens, the star was often known for his candid nature. In a recent interview, Sonali shared how she dealt with linkup rumours in the initial days of her career. She was often linked with her co-stars during that time. She said that people learn to become more thick skinned when it comes to rumours. Bendre admitted that she never repeated a mistake rather she always tried to learn from the blunders.

In an interview with Zoom, Sonali Bendre talked about dealing with link-up rumours. The actress said, “You learn to grow slightly thicker skin. I didn’t make the same mistake twice. Once I learnt a lesson, I understood that this is how it works, and then I knew how to deal with it and nip it in the butt the next time. So, it never happened again.”

The actress continued, “I was just a quick learner. I adapted well. I think the fact that I travelled—every 2 years I was in a new school, adapting to new situations made me the person who didn't crave for attention all the time, who didn't need validation all the time and who was happy to be alone and with herself, because that was my childhood. When you keep constantly moving, you can deal with that peer pressure.”

“I learnt how to deal with it, where I realised that sometimes it's an overactive imagination of the journalist. Because today you talk about clickbait, that time it was headlines, and that headline sold the magazine. But sometimes it was because either the producer wanted the PR or the actor wanted to feel good about themselves, and that's why they were putting it out,” she added.

On the personal aspect, the actress is married to filmmaker Goldie Behl since 2002. The couple has a son named Ranveer Behl.

Sonali Bendre is known for her work in movies such as Hum Saath - Saath Hain, Kadhalar Dhinam, Sarfarosh, Dil Hi Dil Mein, Dahek, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara, Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jaata and Rowdy Cheetah to name a few.
