Sonic the Hedgehog 3 OTT Release: Paramount’s highly anticipated third installment in the franchise based on SEGA’s video games will begin streaming on an OTT platform in the U.S. and Canada. Jeff Fowler, who directed all three films in the series, returns to helm this one as well. Viewers can also watch the first two films, the spin-off series Knuckles, and a retro animated series. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 OTT Release

Paramount announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada starting February 18. The film’s streaming date for additional international Paramount+ markets will be announced soon. The action-adventure comedy movie’s threequel explores Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails as they reunite to face a new formidable foe—Shadow, a mysterious and powerful hedgehog they have never seen before. The film is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara, and Hitoshi Okuno, and executive produced by Haruki Satomi, Shuji Utsumi, Yukio Sugino, Fowler, Tommy Gormley, and Tim Miller. The cast includes Keanu Reeves as Shadow, with Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Krysten Ritter, Natasha Rothwell, and Shemar Moore. The screenplay, based on a story by Casey & Miller, is written by Pat Casey & Josh Miller and John Whittington.

Sonic the Hedgehog made its debut in 2020 and has since become popular among viewers. According to Deadline, the Paramount franchise has now grossed around USD 1.2 billion at the global box office. Following the success of the third installment, the makers are preparing for the next installment, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, which is slated to hit theaters on March 19, 2027.
