Popular singer Sonu Nigam recently posted a video from his earlier days, recalling a tragic bomb blast that occurred in the city of Karachi in the year 2004, near the location of his concert. The video, posted by a fan of the singer, showed how Sonu Nigam carried out his performance even after witnessing the blast. His post has reminded people of that particular night that showed the risks involved and the emotional connection between the people of India and Pakistan.
Blast Happened Before Concert, Performance Under Security
The video explained that there was an explosion caused by a bomb just hours before the concert. The event caused casualties and injuries in the area. However, the event was not cancelled despite the tense conditions. The event preparations were carried out under security conditions.
Later that night, Sonu Nigam’s concert took place with security arrangements in place. Sonu Nigam sang popular songs from movies such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Na Ho, and Veer Zara. Sonu Nigam’s performance of the song Suraj Hua Maddham was well appreciated by the audience.

Sonu Nigam’s Message on Unity
In a video, when Sonu came on stage, he addressed the audience with an emotional message, “Main koshish karta hu aapko entertain karu… aaj ki shaam aap jaldi me to nahi ho? India-Pak ke log badkismat rahe… itna pyaar miss kiya… dua karo ye pyaar badhta rahe.”

Organiser’s Role and Safety Measures
The reel also showed an interview with the late organiser Furqan T. Siddiqui. He said that the security forces were present and that the roads were cleared. The singer was safely escorted. Meanwhile, the opening act artist, Arshad Mehmood, extended his show to control the crowd.
Furqan recalled that the singer often messaged him every year, calling them brothers who survived together. Sonu had said that although the attack happened there, a Pakistani helped save his life.
