In a response to North Korea's provocative balloon propaganda, the South Korean military has employed a novel tactic. They have established a series of loudspeakers along the border with North Korea, broadcasting a diverse range of content, including Kpop music, which is notably banned in the reclusive nation. Additionally, they are sharing discussions about popular Kdramas, such as Crash Landing on You, specifically highlighting the show's lead actor, Hyun Bin.

According to Channel A, a South Korean news outlet, the military's broadcasts persist throughout the day and late into the night, filling the airwaves with lively conversations about K-pop and K-dramas. Notably, the loudspeakers' volume has been reported to be audible even in the outskirts of Seoul, demonstrating the significant reach of this unconventional response. By leveraging the universal language of music and popular culture, South Korea is sending a powerful message to its northern neighbour, showcasing the vibrancy and creativity of its society.
