Stree 2 Real Story: 'Stree 2', starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles, has been one of the most awaited movies of 2024 and has finally arrived in theatres. The movie has already been receiving an amazing response from the audience and is expected to perform well at the box office. Its first part focuses on a witch called Stree, who hunts men at night, whereas, the second part introduces a new villain called Sarkata, which means headless. But is the monster or demon shown in 'Stree 2' based on a real legend? Find out.

Stree 2 Real Story Of Sarkata:

According to rumours in Uttarakhand, a headless man roams in the city and haunts people. The legend says that the headless man was actually a British Army Officer, who is seen roaming in Uttarakhand's Lansdowne in a white horse. He reportedly fought in the First World War and could not survive. He is most popularly known as the 'Ghost Of Lansdowne'.

In 'Stree 2', sarkata starts haunting the town after Stree gets defeated and harms women. The makers have not revealed if the sarkata demon was inspired by any real ghost story or not.

While speaking to Film Companion, Rajkummar Rao talked about 'Stree 2' and said, "Same world, same people. It's bigger for sure, same duniya, kuch nahi badla hai, (nothing has changed) I think jo soul this uss film ki vo isme bhi hai.” (the soul remains the same as Stree)

Shraddha Kapoor, who has a huge following on Instagram, talked about how she maintains her social media personality. She told Harpers Bazaar, "There is no strategy. I simply post what I feel like. I express myself authentically. I love to interact in my comments section. It’s a lot of fun and it makes me feel like they’re my friends. I’m also tremendously blessed to have a very special relationship with my fan clubs."

The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. Tamannaah Bhatia is the new addition to the movie. Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan made cameo appearances.
