In light of this current situation, Suniel Shetty’s upcoming movie Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath will not be released in Pakistan. The film centres around the story of unsung warriors who fought and sacrificed their lives to protect the Somnath Temple from invaders in the 14th century. The film’s producer Kanu Chauhan, shared the reason behind the decision, calling it a moral stand and a way of showing support for the innocent people who lost their lives in the terrorist attack.

Kesari Veer Not To Release In Pakistan

As per Kanu Chauhan's statement quoted by Indian Express, he stated, "I have informed and instructed my overseas distributor not to allow my film to be released in Pakistan at any cost after hearing and seeing the Pakistani-based militant attack on Indian soil. I don’t want my film to be released in Pakistan."

Stating it as a moral stand, he added, " I have zero tolerance and there is zero justification for such cowardly attacks on our soil. I have put my foot down, and Kesari Veer will not be released in Pakistan. It’s a moral stand and support towards the innocent victims who lost their lives in this terrorist attack."

The brutal terror attack on Tuesday, April 22, where 26 innocent people lost their lives in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that not only left their families broken but the nation mourning. This incident and heinous act by the group of terrorists also left the producer Kanu shaken and made him make such a decision for his film. He also informed that Kesari Veer will definitely release in India and other international markets like the USA, Gulf, UK, and North America.
