Suriya’s Jai Bhim received critical acclaim for its script, performances (of Suriya, Lijomol Jose and Manikandan), direction and technical aspects were praised. This Tamil film does not hold back in depicting the realities of caste-based violence and injustice. Manikandan, Lijo Mol Jose, Thamizh, and Rejisha Vijayan all had excellent performances in the movie, while Suriya portrayed a lawyer who was modeled by Chandru, a real-life social activist and former judge. 

'Jai Bhim' is once again trending on social media as a result of a viral fight scene video. The viral scene depicts a couple getting married in an intercaste ceremony while being ambushed by armed attackers. After putting the knife-wielding assailants under control, Suriya comes to their aid and assists them in boarding an autorickshaw. 

It is pertinent to note that the segment was reportedly added to the Hindi television version because action scenes are in high demand among viewers. Watch it here:

On the professional front, Suriya is currently shooting for his upcoming movie Kanguva. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the movie also stars Bollywood actor Disha Patani. The movie is expected to hit the theatres in 2024. He also has 'Vaadivaasal', directed by Vetrimaaran and ‘Suriya 43’, directed by Sudha Kondara in the pipeline. Suriya will also be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial 'Rolex'.
