Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty experienced a significant setback in her career when she was arrested in a drug case involving her late boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She was charged by the Narcotics Bureau for allegedly purchasing narcotics for Sushant, who had passed away on June 14, 2020. However, she was released on bail in October of the same year.

Now, after a hiatus of three years, Rhea is making a comeback to showbiz. She shared a video on Monday announcing that she will be a "gang leader" on the reality show MTV Roadies 19.

Taking to her Instagram, she posted a teaser video of the show and captioned it as, "Sambhal ke rehna hai ya darr ke? Jo bhi ho ignore nahi kar paoge! Get ready for the auditions of MTV Roadies - Karm Ya Kaand, co-powered by @wildstoneofficial We are coming to your cities: #MTVRoadies #MTVRoadies19 #KarmYaKaand #RoadiesAuditions #MTVRoadiesAuditions #RoadiesKarmYaKaand."

The video opens with a masked woman in a leather outfit landing in a room, which is then revealed to be Rhea Chakraborty. Speaking to the camera, the actress says, "Aapko kya laga, main waapis nahi aaungi, darr jaungi? Darrne ki baari kisi aur ki hai (What did you think, I wouldn't come back? I'd be scared? It's time for someone else to be scared)." She further adds that she will meet everyone at the auditions. While some of her industry colleagues expressed their joy and anticipation to watch Rhea on the show, fans of Sushant Singh Rajput were not pleased with the announcement.

Taking to the comments section, one user wrote, "Is bar me MTV Roadies nahi dekhuga... Mere bolne pe nai nikaloge muje pata hai lekin meri MTV Roadies na dekhane ki bat se or bhi log nahi dekhege. Bas reason sirf Rhea Chakrabarti hai... #sushantsinghrajput." Another commented, "Ye Roadies wale pagal ho Gaye h kya koi or nhi mila kya murderer ko le aye."

A third reacted, "Whatttttttt...why she.. agar koi acha girl gang leader nahe Mel raha tha to fir koi boy gang leader ko la lete, like varoon,..bt yea Kaya hay ..... However, a select few also came out in support of the Jalebi actress, as one user wrote, "I Don't understand why people are so prejudiced why to drag any past hatred to an upcoming show, See her work in the show and then judge and hate," while another remarked, "Jo log ye keh rahe hai ki ish baar main show nahi dekhunga ye toh jaroor show dekhenge, or jo log gussa hai toh bhai tum logo ke hisaab se show nahi chalega, konsa tum logo ke papa ki zameen hadap li rhia ne see you on auditions @mtvroadies."
