Tamannaah Bhatia recently addressed the buzz surrounding her song Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2, which became a massive hit following the film’s blockbuster success. Featuring Tamannaah in a special appearance, the track garnered immense attention on social media, with fans recreating its hook step and showering love on the actress.

In an interview with NDTV, Tamannaah admitted she feels “awkward” acknowledging that Aaj Ki Raat contributed to the success of Stree 2. “I think it did. I find it really awkward to admit it,” she shared when asked if the song played a part in the film’s achievements.

Despite the accolades, Tamannaah downplayed the need for credit, humorously suggesting that producer Dinesh Vijan might owe her a “paycheck” from the film's earnings. She also highlighted the effort she put into her performance, saying she kept her character in mind to bring a unique essence to the song. “I didn’t just focus on the glamour; my gaze and expressions added to the overall feel,” Tamannaah explained.

Sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar, Aaj Ki Raat also featured the film’s lead stars Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi. Tamannaah portrayed Tripathi’s love interest in her special appearance, adding an interesting twist to the movie.

Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, was released in theaters on August 15, 2024. Competing with John Abraham's Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein at the box office, the horror-comedy emerged as a standout hit. The movie is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. While fans await news of Stree 3, Shraddha Kapoor has hinted that the director has already developed a storyline for the next instalment.

Meanwhile, Tamannaah continues to shine in her career. Her latest project, Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, premiered on Netflix on November 29. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the heist thriller features Tamannaah alongside Jimmy Sheirgill and Avinash Tiwary.
