Tamil And Telugu Dubs Of Jawan Struggle To Keep Pace With Hindi Release

Jawan Box Office Collection in Tamil, Telugu: While 'Jawan' is enjoying a successful run in North India and globally, the situation in South India presents a different picture. To celebrate the tremendous success of the movie, the 'Jawan' crew organised an event in Mumbai, where Shah Rukh Khan conveyed his gratitude towards the committed technicians who invested four years of effort into the project. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijaybalan, the regional language versions of the film, 'Jawan' in Tamil and Telugu, are struggling to attract a substantial audience. In a tweet, he mentioned, "Jawan Tamil & Telugu shows are hardly fetching any return on running cost at the moment in India. They are collecting only in thousands per show from plenty of cinemas across the nation."

Shedding light on the amount collected by the film, Manobala wrote, "Thursday Day 8 Tracked shows Tamil Shows - 1007 Gross – Rs 1.43 cr Per Show Collection – Rs 14,300. Telugu Shows - 847 Gross - Rs 0.96 cr Per Show Collection - Rs 11,334."

Featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the main role and Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in supporting characters, 'Jawan' was marketed as a pan-India film. Although it is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, it is directed by Tamil director Atlee. Several songs from the movie, including 'Zinda Banda,' were also released in Telugu and Tamil. Additionally, certain scenes were re-filmed with different actors to suit the various language versions.

In Hindi, the film has amassed a total of Rs 347 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. Meanwhile, the Tamil and Telugu versions have earned a combined total of Rs 43.35 crore thus far. The film is expected to surpass the Rs 400 crore milestone on Friday, September 15, and is on the verge of reaching the Rs 700 crore mark worldwide.

'Jawan' portrays Shah Rukh Khan as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad. The narrative of the movie delves into a range of social and political topics. Additionally, it includes a special appearance by Deepika Padukone.

This week, the movie achieved the milestone of crossing the Rs 500 crore mark at the global box office in record time for a Hindi film. It accomplished this impressive feat within just four days, prompting Red Chillies Entertainment to celebrate and announce the achievement on Instagram.
