Kalki 2898 AD

Kalki 2898 AD, initially set for a May 9, 2024 release, premiered worldwide on June 27, 2024, after post-production delays. With a record-breaking ₹600 crore budget, the film grossed ₹1,040-1,200 crore globally, setting multiple box office records for Indian and Telugu cinema.

Kalki 2898 AD features an ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Inspired by Hindu scriptures, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world and follows a group on a mission to save the unborn child of lab subject SUM-80, known as Kalki.

Pushpa 2: The Rule

Pushpa 2: The Rule made a worldwide debut on December 5, 2024, in various formats, including standard, IMAX, 4DX, D-Box, and PVR ICE. The film shattered multiple box-office records, grossing over ₹1,505 crore (US$180 million) globally. This impressive feat has earned Pushpa 2: The Rule the title of the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, as well as the second-highest-grossing film in India, the second-highest-grossing Telugu film, and the third-highest-grossing Indian film.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion

Baahubali 2, one of 2017's most anticipated films, premiered on over 9,000 screens worldwide, setting a record for the widest release of an Indian film. The film received widespread acclaim and grossed over ₹1810.60 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film at the time. It set numerous records in India, including highest-grossing films in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages and remains the highest-grossing film in India to date.

RRR

RRR, made on a budget of ₹550 crore, was the most expensive Indian film at its release. It premiered on March 25, 2022, receiving widespread critical acclaim. The film broke records, earning ₹223 crore worldwide on its first day and grossing ₹1,285-1,387 crore globally, becoming the fourth highest-grossing Indian film and the highest-grossing Indian film of 2022.
