Telugu producer Dil Raju’s father Sri Shyam Sundar Reddy passed away on October 9. He breathed his last on Monday, at the age of 80. Dil Raju is one of the most popular and experienced producers in the Telugu industry, and has been part of the industry for over 20 years now. Many popular films which have now earned the title of cult classic have been bankrolled by the producer. Therefore, the sudden demise of the producer’s father came off as a shock to everyone in the industry.

Recently, Ram Charan was spotted at his residence, where he came to pay his last respects and to console the family. His upcoming film ‘Game Changer’ is being bankrolled by Dil Raju’s production house.

Dil Raju’s PR team shared the news of the producer’s father’s passing away. His PR team wrote, A tragedy in Mr Dil Raju's family. His father breathed his last a few minutes ago (sic)."

He was brought back to their residence in the morning of October 10, and was cremated at 11:AM at Mahaprasthanam in Hyderabad. Several celebrities expressed their condolences online including Prakash Raj, Sai Dharam Tej, Chiranjeevi, director Gopicgand Malineni, and Vijay Kanakamedala.
