Talking about 'Leo', the movie has become unstoppable at the box office and has already crossed Rs 200 crore in India. 'Leo' has also joined Rs 400 crore club worldwide within five days of its release. The movie stars Trisha Krishnan opposite Vijay and the duo have worked in several films together.

Talking about casting Trisha and Vijay together in the film, director Lokesh Kanagaraj told the media, “Trisha was my first choice for 'Leo'. Because I wanted someone who looks like a real family with Thalapathy Vijay. They are a couple in their 40s and have two children in the movie. Their chemistry comes across as most natural on-screen. I needed that to make the movie and the emotions as authentic as possible.”

The movie also stars Priya Anand, Arjun and Mansoor Ali Khan in pivotal roles. 'Leo' is the third instalment of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe aka LCU. Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' and Karthi's 'Kaithi' are also part of the same universe.

On the work front, Vijay was last seen in 'Varisu' opposite Rashmika Mandanna.
