Thalavan Box Office Collection Day 6: Biju Menon and Asif Ali have teamed up for the latest Malayalam thriller, which revolves around an investigation at a local police station, exploring how the hierarchy within the police force becomes a significant issue. While the film has been received positive response from audience, it struggled to garnered audience at the ticket windows.

Thalavan performed decently in its first five days at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 4.45 crore in India. On its sixth day, the film earned around Rs 65 crore, according to Sacnilk. On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Thalavan had an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 29.18%. The film saw varying levels of attendance throughout the day, with 15.13% occupancy in the morning shows, 26.56% in the afternoon shows, 30.36% in the evening shows, and reaching 44.67% in the night shows.

Director Jis Joy, known for his previous collaborations with actor Asif Ali in four films, has signed him once again, this time pairing him with actor Biju Menon. The cast also includes Miya George, Dileesh Pothan, and Shankar Ramakrishnan in key roles. The Malayalam investigative thriller was released in theaters on May 24. One of the film's posters notably features the intriguing phrase, "The ego boundaries are thick and widened at each moment," which adds to the film's allure and mystery.
The director has claimed that 'Thalavan' is his most ambitious film in terms of scope and scale. It delves into an investigation at a local police station, exploring the intricate hierarchy within the force and the challenges it poses. The screenplay was crafted by Anand Thevarkkat and Sarath Perumbavoor, while Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian produced the film. Sharan Velayudhan helmed the cinematography, Sooraj ES managed the editing, and Deepak Dev composed the music.
