Karan Boolani's directorial 'Thank You For Coming' has finally hit the theatres and has been receiving a good response. Starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila and Shibani Bedi in the lead roles, 'Thank You For Coming' focuses on five best friends as they navigate through their love lives together. The movie achieved a big milestone even before its release as it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2023 (TIFF).

If you are looking forward to watching 'Thank You For Coming' in theatres, then take a look at what the audience has to say.

In an interview with Filmfare, Bhumi Pednekar talked about getting emotional after receiving a good response at TIFF 2023. She said, "Honestly I just felt victorious because my association with the film has been for two years. It’s been two years of a lot of doubts and questions, hoping people would understand what we are trying to say. It is a film led by women, made by women for women. It was the first time we watched the film with an audience and I had so many hopes and dreams attached to this film. I was relieved that people understood what this film was about."

She added, "For me, the audience needed to understand that this film is much more than an orgasm. The film is about smashing patriarchy and orgasm is a metaphor. Those tears were just tears of joy that thank god people understood the film. Whatever seemed funny to us, seemed funny to them too. Especially after the year that I’ve had, I think I needed it. I needed the love, support, claps and people loving the film."

The movie also stars Anil Kapoor in the supporting role. Talking about working with him, Shehnaaz Gill said, "On set, I have had one or two scenes with him. I have spent time with him at TIFF also. I would say, out of all the celebrities I have met, Anil sir is so different and down to earth. I think that is why everyone loves him."

'Thank You For Coming' also stars Pradhuman Singh, Natasha Rastogi, Sushant Divgikar, Dolly Ahluwalia and Karan Kundrra in the pivotal roles.
