JE Entertainment Desk: Zoya Aktar's much-awaited film 'The Archies' is gearing up for its release this year, where the film is based on the popular comics of the same name. After a long wait, the first official teaser of the film was unveiled by the makers of the film at the Tudum Festival 2023, held in Brazil. The highly promising official teaser of the film will give you an ode to the 60s filled with retro-style glimpses.

Looking at the teaser of the film, Zoya Akhtar's team has colorfully managed to create a perfect adaptation of the iconic comic series which also includes the rise of pop culture in the 60s. The film is a musical release filled with dance, and jamming performances, and looks promising with a strong author backed up.

Sharing the first official teaser of the film, Zoya Akhtar wrote, "Are you ready to go back in time? Welcome to The Archies." The rest of the cast also shared the same on their respective social media handles.

The teaser opens up in a town called 'Riverdale' in 1964 which is a hill station where Archie and friends hang out in toy trains, bicycles, skates and have parties filled with dance and rock n roll music.

It showcases the elements of love, friendship, and heartbreak, which would give you a nostalgic ride to both the fans of the comics and is a proper teen entertainer.

As soon as the teaser was released, fans went gaga over the first glimpse of the film where several Bollywood biggies also appreciated the work of Zoya Akhtar. Karan Johar commented, "Zoya!!!! Fabbbbbb", whereas Katrina Kaif wrote, "Loveeeeeee." On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor wrote, "This looks exciting. I can't wait... What a fun world you guys have created, it's going to be magic!!."

'The Archies' features Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Janhvi Kapoor's sister Khushi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and the other new faces are Vedang Raina, Aditi Dot, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda.
