The makers of The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond have announced that the film has been granted a UA certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification, clearing the way for a wide theatrical release across India. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah expressed his gratitude towards the Board for what he described as a fair and considered decision.
In an official statement, he said, "I am truly grateful to the Censor Board for granting a UA certificate to our film. It reflects their faith in the intent and integrity with which we have told this story. This decision is especially important because it allows us to reach young girls and families across the country. Our objective has always been awareness, to inform and to empower young minds to stay alert and make informed choices. I sincerely thank the Board for their fair and thoughtful consideration in enabling this message to reach the next generation.”
According to the makers, the certification aligns with the film’s stated purpose of sparking conversations and creating awareness among the youth. With the UA certificate in place, the team is optimistic that the film’s message will resonate with a broader demographic, particularly young female viewers accompanied by their families.
Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond which will also release in Telugu and Kannada, brings to the forefront the harrowing story of three Hindu girls, played by Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha, whose lives take a terrifying turn after they fall in love with three Muslim boys, relationships that gradually reveal a calculated agenda of religious conversion.
The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner Sunshine Pictures. The film is slated to release in cinemas on 27th February, 2026.
