Jennifer Lopez is all set to star in an action drama film 'The Mother' and will be seen in a very different role. The movie revolves around a former assassin, who comes out of hiding to protect the estranged daughter she left behind.
The Mother Release Date:
'The Mother' will release on Netflix on May 12 at 1:30 PM in India.
Apart from Jennifer Lopez, the movie will star Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, and Gael García Bernal.
In an interview with Variety, Jennifer revealed that she did her own stunts in the film without taking the help of any body double. "I was achy, but not hurt. I don’t think I’ve ever done an action movie like this. I do a lot of my own stunts because I’m athletic. But I have kids so I’m not going to risk anything," she said.

Meanwhile, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer talked about her role in 'The Mother'.
“This movie, in particular, I love because it really thinks about: What kind of mother are you? (In the film,) there are two different mothers, the adoptive mother and the character that I played, who’s actually her biological mother. It just goes to show that there’s no perfect version of a mom. You have to be the best mom you can be with who you are and what you know, and the things that you learned and experienced in your life. And that’s what you kind of pass on to your kids, you protect them and love them, no matter what,” Jennifer said.
In August 2022, Jennifer Lopez tied the knot with Ben Affleck in an intimate ceremony. The couple first got married in Las Vegas and took the internet by storm with their stunning pictures. They tied the knot again in Georgia in the presence of their close family and friends.
“Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, and stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world," JLo said in her newsletter, via People.
'The Mother' is directed by Niki Caro with a screenplay by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff and Peter Craig.
