The Raja Saab OTT Release: On January 9, 2026, the eagerly anticipated film The Raja Saab opened in theatres across the globe. Reviews of the film have been varied, with the lead star's performance receiving the majority of the favourable ones. Prabhas had a dramatic genre change in Maruthi's film The Raja Saab, switching from his typical high-octane action or epic parts to a movie with more fantasy and horror themes.

The Raja Saab had a clear solo release window thanks to the postponement of Jana Nayagan, enabling audiences to attend to one high-profile movie throughout the Sankranthi season. The horror comedy was released with great anticipation, but fell short of the audience's expectations. Fans of Prabhas, however, hailed the movie's climax and his comic timing.

The Raja Saab OTT Release Date And Platform

The Raja Saab's OTT rights have been bagged by JioHotstar, according to OTTPlay. It will be accessible in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, among other languages. The digital run usually starts about two months after a film's theatrical release. The Deccan Chronicle reports that the Prabhas-led horror comedy would probably start streaming by the end of February 2026.

However, no official confirmation has been provided by the makers of the movie. The OTT release date announcement usually happens one week before the movie's release.

The Raja Saab Plot Details

Prabhas plays the title character in the Telugu-language horror-fantasy comedy The Raja Saab. Prabhas portrays Raju, a young guy who resides with his Alzheimer's-stricken grandma Gangamma (Zarina Wahab). Raju is a young man with a great sense of humour and a rebellious personality. He plays Raja Saab, an elder version of himself, as well as the contemporary grandson. Gangamma, played by Raju, is a former princess who lost her fortune and royal status and yearns for her spouse, Kanakaraju (Sanjay Dutt).

The main plot is around Raju learning that the antagonist Kanakaraju is still alive and resides in Hyderabad. After that, he goes there in an attempt to locate him and rebuild his grandmother's reputation and happiness. Raju and his friend Bhairavi (Malavika Mohanan) find an old family home in the Narsapur forest as a result of their hunt. There, he learns that his grandfather is a malicious ghost who has been dead for years and is no longer human. The film culminates in an exciting confrontation between Raju and his grandfather.

Raju learns that the mansion is a trap set by Kanakaraju, a black arts practitioner who wants to reincarnate to reclaim his previous abilities. To save his grandmother and get out of the mansion, Raju must engage in a mental struggle and supernatural confrontations with his grandfather's soul.
