Netflix has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming four-part docu-series The Roshans, which delves into the legacy of the illustrious Roshan family. Directed by Shashi Ranjan, the series traces the journey of Roshan Lal, Rajesh Roshan, Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan, offering a nostalgic exploration of their contributions to Indian cinema.
The trailer opens with Hrithik Roshan sharing the story behind the family's surname change from Nagrath to Roshan, a tribute to his grandfather, Roshan Lal Nagrath, the legendary music composer. Asha Bhosle highlights the rarity of a family producing four remarkable artistes, while Anil Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vicky Kaushal, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra and other industry stalwarts reflect on the family's immense talent and influence.
Shah Rukh Khan draws a parallel between Rajesh and Rakesh Roshan, likening them to the iconic duo Karan and Arjun. Ranbir Kapoor describes Hrithik as "a phenomenon," praising his meteoric rise following his debut 25 years ago. The series also offers light-hearted moments, such as Rajesh Roshan joking about Rakesh's charm and street-smart persona, which led him to warn his friends to keep their distance.
