Each episode is expected to run for around 60 minutes, offering plenty of time for the story to unravel.

When and Where to Watch The Trunk?

Netflix is set to add another intriguing Kdrama to its roster with The Trunk, a mystery-romance series featuring acclaimed actors Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun-jin. Fans are already buzzing with excitement over the unique premise, which delves into a contractual marriage shrouded in secrets. Adapted from the 2015 novel Trunk by Kim Ryeo-ryeong, the drama promises a blend of emotional depth, suspense, and unexpected twists.

The Trunk follows the life of Han Jeong-won, who reluctantly agrees to a contract marriage with Noh In-ji. Both characters are burdened by their pasts—Jeong-won with lingering feelings for his ex-wife Seo-yeon, and In-ji with her disillusionment from orchestrating countless contractual relationships. Their seemingly straightforward arrangement chills when a mysterious trunk is retrieved from a lake, unravelling dark secrets about NM Company. This revelation endangers their growing bond and raises questions about trust and deception.

Ahead of its release, Netflix shared stills that capture the emotional intensity of the series. Jeong-won struggles with his fractured reality, while In-ji maintains a cold and detached demeanour, treating marriage as a professional task. As their relationship evolves, a spark of genuine emotion emerges, even as the trunk threatens to disrupt their fragile connection.

The trailer for The Trunk has left fans on the edge of their seats. It offers glimpses of the drama’s gripping tension without giving away major plot points. Comments praising its balance of intrigue and restraint have amplified excitement for the show. Set to debut on November 29, 2024, The Trunk will be available exclusively on Netflix.
