K-drama 'The Uncanny Counter' is all set to return for its second season and will bring new twists and turns by introducing new characters. The show revolves around the Counters, a group of paranormal hunters who search for and fight against evil spirits that escape from the afterlife to prey on humans.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Release Date

'The Uncanny Counter' Season 2 will release on Netflix on July 29. The new episodes will release every Saturday and Sunday.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Star Cast

The show stars Jo Byeong-kyu, Yoo Jun-sang, Kim Se-jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan and Yoo In-soo in the lead roles. Kang Ki-young, of 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' fame and Kim Hieora, of 'The Glory' fame will join the second season as the main antagonists and will be seen as demons. Yoo In Soo, of 'Alchemy Of Souls' and 'The Good Bad Mother' fame, will also be seen in an intriguing role.

Talking about the new season, the production team shared, “We are doing our best to present you with a more fun and interesting Season 2 to repay the love you sent our way in Season 1. With stronger and more enhanced counters, demons, and strong teamwork, we will greet you with an upgraded Korean-style hero series, so please look forward to it and give it lots of interest.”

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Plot

'The Uncanny Counter' is based on the Daum webtoon Amazing Rumor by Jang Yi and focuses on So Mun, a high school student with a disability who is enlisted to be part of the Counters. When Counter Jang Cheol-joong is killed in a battle against a strong 'Level 3' evil spirit, his partner Wi-gen possesses So Mun despite his disability. Mun starts seeing changes in his body and finds his answers in Eonni's Noodles and becomes a Counter. In the second season, the viewers will meet new demons and Counters will be introduced as the fight against them will continue.
