The Wild Robot OTT Release: Lupita Nyong'o-Kit Connor’s American animated science fiction is based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Peter Brown. The film first premiered at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival and was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards (Oscars), the 82nd Golden Globe Awards and the 78th British Academy Film Awards. As per reports, the movie became the sixth-highest grossing animated film of 2024 which had a grossing USD 329 million worldwide. After a Shipwreck, the movie follows the story of an intelligent robot called Roz, who is stranded on an uninhabited island. Now to survive such a harsh environment, the robot bonds with the animals that are living on the island. Roz then can be seen caring for an orphaned baby goose. The movie stars Lupita Nyong'o as Roz, Pedro Pascal as Fink, Kit Connor as Brightbill, Bill Nighy as Longneck, and Stephanie Hsu as Vontra. The movie has been directed by Chris Sanders and backed by DreamWorks Animation. The film was made on a budget of USD 78 million. The Wild Robot was released in theatres on September 27.
