Deepika Padukone's 2020 Met Gala look is simply too amazing to be forgotten. As we return to that time of the year phase, the Bajirao Mastani actor recalled her most iconic appearance at the Met Gala 2020, which revolved around the theme 'About Time: Fashion and Duration'. On Monday, she reposted a video shared by Vogue, and captioned it, "Throwback."
The video featured designer Zac Posen unveiling the beautiful pink Barbie gown to Deepika Padukone and the latter's reaction is just 'wow'.
The custom-made pink strapless Zac Posen gown had a voluminous architectural skirt with purple crystals. Deepika's big bouffant hairstyle was given an extra boost by a headband that was richly embellished and in full glossy glory. While the stunning woman's makeup asked for a striking maroon lip, the purple and pink sparkle in her eyes spoke a different language.
Met Gala 2023:
The world's most famous Costume Party is all set to take place on May 1 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year, the cost of the tickets to the 2023 Met Gala is $50,000, a significant rise of around $20,000 from the cost of the tickets the previous year.
Met Gala, often known as "fashion's biggest night out," is a charitable event that raises money for the New York City-based Metropolitan Museum of Art. Stars, emerging creatives, and industry leaders are all welcomed at the event.
WHAT IS THE MET GALA 2023 THEME?
This year's Met Gala theme is Karl Lagerfeld: The Line Of Beauty. Although the motif is appropriate to pay tribute to the late designer, it is also quite specialised and may prove difficult for certain designers to get the perfect appearance. The topic has also drawn a lot of criticism, and it will be interesting to watch how designers interpret it.
Who was Karl Lagerfeld?
Karl Otto Lagerfeld was a German fashion designer, creative director, artist and photographer. He was known as the creative director of the French fashion house Chanel, a position held from 1983 until his death, and was also the creative director of the Italian fur and leather goods fashion house Fendi, and of his own eponymous fashion label. He collaborated on a variety of fashion and art-related projects.
