Tiku Talsania Hospitalised After Brain Stroke Not Heart Attack?

Popular Bollywood actor Tiku Talsania suffered a brain stroke on January 10, 2025. As per a report by NDTV, the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video actor has been admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. It was earlier reported that he had a heart attack but now sharing the health update, his wife Deepti Talsania said that it was a brain stroke. In an interview with NDTV, Deepti said "He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital."

The actor made his acting debut with the television show Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi in 1984. Since then, the actor has worked in several shows and movies including Hum Sab Baraati, Sajan Re Phir Jhooth Mat Bolo, Pritam Pyaare aur Woh, Sultaan, Dhol, Mr. Bechara, Daulat Ki Jung, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Ek Aur Ek Gyarah, Hungama, Andaz Apna Apna and Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh. 

The 70-year-old actor was last seen in the 2024 movie Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. In the comedy movie, Talsania played the role of Vicky (Rajkummar Rao’s grandfather). The movie also stars Tripti Dimri, Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Shehnaaz Gill, Archana Puran Singh and Mast Ali in prominent roles. The film was released in theatres on October 11, 2024 and performed moderately at the box office. Now, the movie is streaming on Netflix. 

Earlier in an interview with Indian Express, Tiku said “Gone are the times where there used to be formula films with cabaret dance, two love songs, and the comedian coming and doing his bit and going away. That all has changed now. It is become story-oriented. So unless and until you become a part of the story or you get to play a character of a person whose story is knitted with the story, you don’t get work. I am slightly jobless right now. I want to work, but the right kinds of roles are not coming my way.” 

Tiku Talsania is married to Dipti Talsania and are parents of two children - Rohaan Talsania (music composer) and Shikha Talsania (actress). Notably, Shikha Talsania is known for her work in movies like Veere Di Wedding, Wake Up Sid, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji and Jahaan Chaar Yaar to name a few.
