About I Want To Talk
The movie revolves around a father and his daughter, who navigate their routine lives in India until an unexpected medical diagnosis alters their path. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Ahilya Bamroo, Janet Carter, Tom McLaren, Jayant Kripalani, Johnny Lever, Kristin Goddard and Joe Russell in key roles. It has been directed by ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar. The film has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri, Sheel Kumar and Kumar Thakur.
Earlier in an interview with Zoom, Sircar talked about Abhishek transforming into Arjun. He said, “Yes, Arjun, I think, is a sheer epitome of not giving up. He's going through unmanageable medical issues in his life and also the all kinds of relationship issues. Still, the daughter has to say that, you know, I need to have an open conversation with him. I found in Arjun that complexity. I documented him literally.”
“I didn't put anything extra to trigger my viewers or myself also when I was scripting. I thought I will present him as it is and of course there are fictional elements. But I didn't want to underline the fictional elements. I thought this is his life. Let's jump into his life and see. And would this life become engaging to viewers? So that's what I tried and that became my structure and to come to the point of not giving up and resilience and tenacity. I didn't see Abhishek in the film. I only saw Arjun in the film,” he added.
