Tooth Pari Review

A dentist, named Roy, aspires to be a chef and tries to pursue his dream secretly. One day, he got a visitor from "Neeche," named Rumi, played by Tanya Maniktala. She resides with her coven in Neeche, which they refer to as the realm underneath. Rumi travels to Upar (above), where people dwell, to hunt for their meagre diet of blood. Unexpectedly, one of Rumi's vampire teeth breaks and disintegrates after a botched hunt. Soon after this, she meets Doctor Bikram Roy, played by Shantanu Maheshwari, who actually wanted to be a chef but landed into being a dentist.

Rumi had no idea that she would develop feelings for Dr. Roy as a person. Unfortunately, falling in love with a human is illegal for vampires, and doing so will result in death. Rumi is concerned with other things as well, though.

Tooth Pari, which is set in Kolkata, gets off to a good start and quickly establishes the main love narrative. Roy and Rumi, falling in love, was so quick that the makers forget to add a masala into this love-biting tale, which made it look completely flat. It is quite challenging to cheer for the star-crossed lovers because we seldom witness any thrill as they fall in love, with the exception of Rumi's response to the first time she tasted Roy's blood, which is reminiscent of an Alpenliebe commercial.

The complete tale of Vampire falling in love with a human and vice versa is nothing new. We have witnessed the same stories in classic cults like Vampire Diaries, Twilight, and more. Even while the aforementioned tales are intriguing, Tooth Pari seems to be lacking something major.

The character development in Tooth Pari is what makes it worthwhile. Tooth Pari blends various genres to create the best of several worlds with a stellar cast that includes Adil Hussain as AD, a character who strikes a balance between the world, Revathy as Luna Luka, a woman who practises Wicca craft and is a member of Cutmundus (a cult to expose the vampires), Tillotama Shome as vampire Meera, and Sikander Kher as Inspector Kartik.

Cast Performance:

Tanya Maniktala's portrayal of Rumi is one of the show's worst problems. She appears in the series the most, however her performance is consistently most uninteresting. All the other vampires portrayed by Saswata, Tillotama, and others are neither scary nor exciting, much like Tanya. They appeared to be all decked up for a fancy dress contest, in my opinion.

Although Shantanu Maheshwari takes on his part with the utmost confidence, the show's weak plot causes it to grow monotonous with time.

Tooth Pari Final Verdict:

Tooth Pari When Love Bites is a love story which lacks passion and checmistry between its stellar cast. In its haste to construct its own universe, Tooth Pari neglects to enliven and taste the foundation it is laying.
