Tourist Family On OTT: The Tamil movie Tourist Family, one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025, debuted in theatres on May 1. It opened to a positive response from the audience. Helmed by Abishan Jeevinth, the film marks his directorial debut. Tourist Family follows the story of a Tamil family that leaves behind everything they call home in search of a safer place and a better future amid the challenges in Sri Lanka following the COVID-19 pandemic. The narrative impressed viewers, who praised the performances of actors M Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, M S Bhaskar and Ramesh Thilak. Amid the theatrical buzz, the makers recently shared their plans for the movie's OTT debut.
Tourist Family On OTT: When Will M Sasikumar and SimranStarrer Tamil Movie Stream Online?
As audiences look forward to watching the film on a digital platform amid immense hype, the streaming platform for Tourist Family is not yet known, but the makers have shared when they plan to release it online. During a recent press conference, the makers of Tourist Family shared an update on the Tourist Family OTT release. While speaking about the film clashing on the same day as Retro, the producer of Tourist Family, Yuvaraj Ganesan, said the decision was because of the OTT release. He said that with the rise of streaming platforms when films are sold, the release window on OTT is also decided. Since the makers were asked to stream the film by the end of May, they had no choice but to release it in theatres on May 1. Therefore, it seems that the Sasikumar starrerTourist Family will be released on OTT by May 31.
Since OTT platforms now decide releases based on streaming slots, and we've locked #TouristFamily for streaming at the end of May, we had no choice but to release it on May 1st.

About Tourist Family Plot
The movie explores the story of a Sri Lankan family who seeks a fresh start in India after facing difficult decisions amidst the turmoil in their country. They transform a disconnected neighbourhood into a vibrant community with their infectious love and kindness. The movie revolves around the central character Das, played by M. Sasikumar, and his family including his wife Vasanthi (Simran) and their children. Their new journey is filled with fear, new hope, and hilarious and warm moments. The movie has earned a net collection of Rs 12.70 crore in India and its worldwide earnings stand at Rs 19.00 crore, according to report by Sacnilk.
