Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has finally hit the theatres today coinciding with the festival of Holi. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, the movie is directed by Luv Ranjan. Moreover, this marks Ranbir and Shraddha's first collaboration which has made the audience excited. There is a lot of hype about Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and all eyes are o this film because movies have not been able to perform well at the box office in February 2023.

According to reports, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is expected to have a great start and can collect around Rs 12 to 13 crore. 

Talking about the film's advance bookings, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar had sold around 44,150 tickets for Day 1.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the three national chains of India, Inox, PVR, and Cinepolis, had a positive start in terms of advance bookings. As of March 6, the film had sold 13,700 tickets in PVR, 8,000 in Inox, and 4,200 tickets in Cinepolis.

According to a report by Times Of India, Kartik Aaryan will be the biggest surprise of the film. However, it is not sure if Kartik will reprise his role of Sonu or will be seen in a different character. Neither makers nor Kartik has confirmed the news as of now.

Apart from Ranbir and Shraddha, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also stars Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in the supporting roles.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Shamshera along with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. The movie did not perform well at the box office. Later, he starred in Brahmastra, which became one of the most successful Hindi films in 2022.

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Animal. The movie will hit the theatres on August 11, 2023. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Whereas, Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in Baaghi 3. She also had a cameo role in Bhediya and will be seen in Stree 2. She will reportedly star in the Naagin trilogy.
