When BTS' Jungkook Saved An Anchor's Life: South Korean TV presenter Kim Sung-joo had shared an incident where BTS member Jungkook played a life-saving role during a show in 2016. Kim, recounting the incident on a variety show in 2018, disclosed that he had fallen off the stage at the 2016 DMC Festival just moments before BTS was scheduled to perform.

In 2016, the popular K-pop group BTS performed their well-known song "Fire." As part of their performance, the members of BTS, including RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, were scheduled to make their entrances onto the stage individually through an underground lift.

According to a report by Koreaboo, during his appearance on the show Visiting Teacher, Kim Sung-Joo disclosed that he had no knowledge that the stage lifts had descended. As he took a step backward, he unexpectedly tumbled into the lowered lift area. Recounting the incident, he mentioned, "I was walking backwards and I just fell inside the lift.
