Tumbbad Box Office Day 13: Directed by Rahi Anil Barve and starring Sohum Shah, Tumbbad has made a stunning comeback at the box office during its re-release, becoming a major hit after its original lackluster performance in 2018. Since its return to theaters on September 13, the folk horror thriller has consistently earned over 1 crore daily for 11 days—something it managed only twice during its initial run, which concluded with a total of 13.50 crore. The film's resurgence in popularity can be attributed to its streaming success on various OTT platforms, leading to its re-entry in cinemas and ultimately establishing it as the highest-grossing re-release in Indian box office history.

Tumbbad Box Office Report

Tumbbad continues to hold strong on its second Tuesday and Wednesday, aiming for a total of over ₹25 crore by the end of its second week—an impressive achievement for a re-release.

The film has shown impressive performance as it heads into Week 3 tomorrow, and it will be fascinating to see if it can sustain its momentum. In Week 2 (re-release), the film earned ₹3.04 crore on Friday, ₹2.50 crore on Saturday, ₹2.59 crore on Sunday, ₹1.06 crore on Monday, ₹1.03 crore on Tuesday, and ₹1.01 crore on Wednesday, bringing its total to ₹24.67 crore in India.

In Week 2, the film’s earnings were as follows: ₹3.04 crore on Friday, ₹2.50 crore on Saturday, ₹2.59 crore on Sunday, ₹1.06 crore on Monday, and ₹1.03 crore on Tuesday, bringing its total to ₹23.66 crore at the Indian box office.

The total worldwide earnings for Tumbbad, including its original release, stand at approximately ₹41.50 crore gross, and it is on track to reach around ₹50 crore gross—a significant milestone. In just 11 days of its re-release, Tumbbad has grossed about ₹25.75 crore (net ₹21.75 crore). It is expected to surpass Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli (approximately ₹26 crore gross) sometime during its 12th day, making it the highest-grossing re-release in India for the 21st century.

Currently, Tumbbad and Ghilli are the only two films to surpass the ₹20 crore gross mark in their repeat runs at the Indian box office. James Cameron's Titanic follows as the third highest-grossing re-release in India, with around ₹18 crore gross, while Sholay 3D and Laila Majnu grossed approximately ₹13 crore and ₹11 crore, respectively.
