About Turbo
Directed by Vysakh and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas, 'Turbo' features Mammootty in the lead role as Jose. While the film has not quite met the high expectations set by Mammootty's previous blockbusters, it has been appreciated as a solid action drama. The storyline and Mammootty's performance have garnered positive responses. However, the stiff competition and the high standards set by his earlier films appear to have impacted its box office performance.
In Turbo, Mammootty takes on the role of Turbo Jose, a Jeep driver from Idukki who faces unforeseen troubles, forcing him to relocate to Chennai. Once there, he becomes entangled in a series of complications involving Indhulekha and her brother Jerry, which lead to even more formidable challenges.
