About Turbo

Turbo features Mammootty in the lead role as Jose. Although the film hasn't quite reached the high expectations set by Mammootty's previous blockbusters, it has been praised as a solid action drama. The storyline and Mammootty's performance have received positive feedback. However, stiff competition and the high standards set by his earlier films seem to have impacted its box office performance.

In Turbo, Mammootty plays Turbo Jose, a Jeep driver from Idukki who faces unforeseen troubles, forcing him to relocate to Chennai. There, he becomes entangled in a series of complications involving Indhulekha and her brother Jerry, leading to even more formidable challenges. Directed by Vysakh and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas, Kannada actor Raj B. Shetty takes on a dual role -- portraying both a politician and a gangster.
