Ulajh Box Office Collection Day 1: The Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah-starring spy thriller struggled to make an impact at the ticket windows on its opening day, experiencing a tepid response from audiences. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the film also features Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain in significant roles. Released on August 2, 2024, Ulajh follows Suhana Bhatia (played by Janhvi Kapoor), a young IFS officer who becomes entangled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while stationed far from home.

Ulajh had a sluggish start at the box office, earning around ₹1.37 crore net in India on its opening day. The growth is expected over the weekend. 

Janhvi Kapoor's film saw an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 13.02% on Friday, August 2, 2024, with morning shows at 7.38%, afternoon shows at 10.85%, evening shows at 13.06%, and a notable rise to 20.78% for night shows, indicating a gradual increase in audience engagement throughout the day.

The film, which explores Suhana’s journey, highlighting both the prestigious legacy of her diplomat family and the obstacles of nepotism, might work on positive word of mouth in coming days.

Janhvi Kapoor starrer has been produced with a total budget of ₹50 crores, including prints and advertising costs. The film is being released on approximately 2,500 screens across India. To be considered a hit, Ulajh needs to earn ₹60 crores.
