Upcoming Kannada OTT Releases in April 2025
Anamadheya Ashok Kumar
The story centers around investigative journalist Praveen Rajashekar (played by Kishore Kumar G), who finds himself entangled in a murder investigation after interviewing celebrated lawyer Anand Bhat (Sudheendran Nair). After the lawyer's death, Praveen becomes the prime suspect and key witness. Police officer Athirath B J (Harshil Koushik) takes on the case to uncover the truth. The movie debuted in theatres on February 7 and will soon be available for streaming on the Prime Video platform.

Vishnu Priya
This Kannada romantic drama, directed by V. K. Prakash, is set in the backdrop of the 1990s. Starring Shreyas K Manju and Priya Prakash Varrier in lead roles, the film is inspired by a real-life incident written by Sindhushree. After significant delays in post-production, Vishnu Priya was released in theatres on February 21, 2025, and is now expected to make its OTT debut on Prime Video.

Rudra Garuda Purana
A gripping tale about a dedicated police officer (played by Rishi) investigating the mysterious disappearance of Manu, the son of a minister. During the investigation, he discovers that Manu and his girlfriend Katyayani were traveling on a BMTC bus discontinued 25 years ago. While the film made a significant impact, Rishi's performance was especially lauded. The movie, which also stars Priyanka Kumar, Vinod Alva, Avinash, Prabhakar, Shivaraj KR Pete, and Ashwini Gouda, was released in theatres on January 24, 2025, and will soon be available on OTT. It is expected to debut on Prime Video.

Adhipatra
The much-anticipated Kannada film Adhipatra, starring actor Roopesh Shetty (Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 fame) in a cop role, was released on February 7. The film explores a coastal Karnataka-centric storyline. Directed and written by Chayan Shetty, it also stars Deepak Rai, Prakash Thuminad, Jahnavi Mahadi, and others. The film is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video, although the official announcement is still awaited.
Mr Rani
The story follows an aspiring actor, Raja, who dreams of becoming an actor but is forced by his parents to pursue engineering. While following his passion for acting, he accidentally gets a chance to play a girl's role. The film then unfolds the twists and turns that come his way during this journey. Mr Rani stars Deepak Subramanya and Parvathy Nair in lead roles. Released on February 7, 2025, in theatres, it is slated to make its digital debut soon on Prime Video.
