Tholvi F.C.
‘Tholvi F.C.’ (Losers F.C.) is a comedy-drama film directed by George Kara, released in November 2023. The movie stars Sharaf U Dheen, Johny Antony, George Kora, Asha Madathil Sreekanth and Meenakshi Raveendran. It tells the story of a middle-class family with unique dreams, each one striving to achieve their goals while supporting one another. Kuruvila and his family have big dreams of succeeding in life and making something of their own. The movie will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from January 3, 2024.
Perilloor Premier League
'Perilloor Premier League' is a Disney+ Hotstar original Malayalam web series. It is directed by Praveen Chandran and stars Nikhila Vimal, Sunny Wayne, Aju Varghese and Vijaya Raghvan in lead roles. The comedy-drama series is written by Deepu Pradeep who has works such as 'Kunjiramayanam' and 'Padmini' to his credit. The plot centres around Malavika (Nikhila Vimal) and her childhood infatuation, portraying the unexpected turn of events that leads her to actively participate in the Panchayat elections of the Perilloor village. The web series is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under the banner of E4 Entertainment. Anoop V Shylaja and Ameel are handling the cinematography, while the music is composed by Mujeeb Majeed. The web series will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from January 5, 2024.
Udal
‘Udal’ is a critically acclaimed drama thriller film directed by Ratheesh Raghunandan and produced by Gokulam Gopalan. The movie stars Dhyan Sreenivasan and features Durga Krishna and Indrans in supporting roles. It depicts the challenges faced by an Indian housewife named Shiny who is already juggling numerous responsibilities and must also take care of her ailing father-in-law after his nurse quits. The film will soon be available for streaming on the OTT platform Saina Play from January 5, 2024.
Hodu
'Hodu' is an upcoming movie written and directed by Anush Mohan that will be available for streaming on istream from 22 January 2024. Presented by KL 01 Cinemas and produced by Vineesh Amaravilla the movie will feature Roopesh Peethambaran, Harikrishnan Sanu, and Visak. There is no information about the plot or characters of the movie.
Neru
Neru has Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the lead role and is directed by Jeethu Joseph. It also features Priya Mani. A Christmas release, the movie is doing well at the box office and entered the Rs. 50 crore club within nine days of its release. The movie, a courtroom drama, is being appreciated for its story and its OTT release is highly anticipated by audiences. According to reports, the movie will soon be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
