Upcoming Telugu OTT Releases June 2024: June 2024 promises to be an exciting month for Telugu cinema enthusiasts with a diverse lineup of films and series premiering on major OTT platforms. Yakshini on Disney+ Hotstar:

Yakshini, a socio-fantasy horror series starring Lakshmi Manchu, Vedhika, and Rahul Vijay, is set to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar starting June 14. Directed by Teja Marni, the series weaves a tale of folklore and modern romance. The story follows Yakshini, a mythical being who, after committing a forbidden act, is condemned to live on Earth.

To save her kind, she must sacrifice 100 men. Meanwhile, Krishna, in search of true love, crosses paths with Yakshini, altering both their destinies. The series, funded by the makers of Baahubali, promises to captivate viewers across multiple languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Bangla and Marathi.

Gangs of Godavari on Netflix:

Gangs of Godavari, featuring Vishwak Sen in the lead role, is the latest crime drama whose OTT rights have been brought by Netflix. Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, the film follows the journey of Lankala Ratnam, a man from the village of Kovvuru who dreams of success. Ratnam joins MLA Dorasami Raju’s faction, later switching allegiances to Nanaji’s group, eventually becoming an MLA himself. His ruthless methods earn him the moniker Tiger Ratnakar.

The film explores his rise to power, the enemies he makes, and his complex relationship with Bujji, played by Neha Sshetty. Released in theatres recently, Gangs of Godavari will be available for streaming on Netflix from June 14, 2024.

Dear Nanna on Aha: 

'Dear Nanna' is available for streaming from June 14 on Aha. The trailer beautifully showcases the emotional bond between a father and son, promising a touching and heartfelt story. Veteran actor Surya will play the role of Chaitanya Rao’s father in the film.

Written and directed by Santosh Kambhampati, the movie stars Yashna Chowdary as the female lead. The talented cast also includes Madhunandhan, Shashank, and Vinay Nallakadi in significant roles. Produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Devesh, with music composed by Ree, Dear Nanna is a film you won’t want to miss.

Bhaje Vaayu Vegam on Netflix:

Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, an emotional drama starring Kartikeya and directed by Prashanth Reddy, is now available in theatres and will soon stream on Netflix. The film, produced by UV Creations, features a stellar cast including Iswarya Menon, Rahul Tyson, Tanikella Bharani, Ravi Shankar, and Sarath Lohithaswa.

With music by Radhan and Kapil Kumar, Bhaje Vaayu Vegam tells a touching story that promises to resonate with audiences. It will be available on Netflix from June 28.

Gam Gam Ganesha on Amazon Prime Video: 

The crime comedy Gam Gam Ganesha, starring Anand Deverakonda, Pragati Srivastava and Nayan Sarika, is soon expected to make waves on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by newcomer Uday Bommisetty, the film is produced by Kedar Selagamsetty and Vamsi Karumanchi under the Hylife Entertainment banner.

The story revolves around a series of humorous and thrilling events, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Vennela Kishore, Emmanuel, Raj Arjun and Satyam Rajesh. With its engaging plot and Chaitan Bharadwaj’s music, Gam Gam Ganesha is set to entertain viewers as it transitions from theatres (released on May 31) to streaming on Amazon Prime Video soon. 

Uppu Kappurambu on Prime Video:

Amazon Prime Video’s latest original, Uppu Kappurambu, stars Suhas and Mahanati actress Keerthy Suresh in a satirical comedy-drama directed by Ani I V Sasi. Known for his unique roles, Suhas delivers another intriguing performance, while Keerthy Suresh adds a surprising twist to the narrative.
