Varun Dhawan spoke with Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a recent event on Saturday. The Bollywood actor was at a conclave in New Delhi for the promotion of his upcoming movie, Baby John. He then attended an event where Amit Shah was the guest speaker. During the crowd interaction, Varun Dhawan discussed the subject of arrogance in connection with Ramayan and then lauded Amit Shah.

Varun Dhawan, who was seated on the audience side, asked the minister an interesting question after Shah finished speaking - What is the main difference between Lord Ram and Ravan? In response, Amit Shah emphasised their divergent views on dharma, stating that while some people's duties dictate their interests, others base their duties on their self-interests.

Amit Shah clarified that whereas Ravan attempted to modify his responsibilities to suit his definitions and ideas, Lord Ram lived his life according to his dharma. Dhawan responded by saying that Ram was aware of arrogance, whereas Ravan was arrogant about his knowledge. According to the Home Minister, this definition is also covered in dharma.

Varun Dhawan then showered Amit Shah with accolades, calling him the nation's Hanuman. "People refer to you as the Chanakya of politics, but in my opinion, you are truly desh ke Hanuman hai, along with jo niswarth desh ki seva kar rahe hai," he said.

 

Social media users have now been reacting to the video from the conclave, which has been making the rounds online. One of the users wrote, "Can't believe anyone from Bollywood at all. There is always an agenda behind such recent praises. They sway in the direction of the wind." Another user said, "Film aa rhi h bhai ki to buttering obvious hai." The third user said, "They are just acting, don't believe them."

About Baby John

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan is extensively promoting Baby John ahead of its December 25 release, which is Christmas. The movie marks the first-ever collaboration with Atlee, the director of Jawan.

Baby John is a Hindi adaption of the Tamil movie, Theri. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh in important parts. As if that weren't enough, Bollywood star Salman Khan makes a guest appearance in the Hindi movie.
