Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 On OTT
Veera Dheera Sooran, starring Vikram, is expected to be released on OTT platforms soon, potentially by early to mid-April. Several platforms have shown interest in acquiring the film's digital rights, but the deal is yet to be finalised, according to reports.
About the movie: Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, a highly anticipated Indian Tamil-language action thriller film, has been making waves in the cinematic world. Directed and written by S. U. Arun Kumar, this film boasts an impressive cast, including Vikram in the titular role, S. J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan and Prudhvi Raj. Produced by Riya Shibu under the banner of HR Pictures, the film has been generating significant buzz among audiences.
The project was initially announced in October 2023 under the working title Chiyaan 62, marking Vikram's 62nd film as the lead actor. The official title, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, was revealed in April 2024, and principal photography commenced the same month. The filming process was wrapped up by mid-November 2024, with G. V. Prakash Kumar composing the music, Theni Eswar handling the cinematography, and Prasanna GK taking care of the editing.
Although the prequel, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 1, has yet to begin production, the second installment has already made a significant impact. Initially scheduled for release on January 30, 2025, the film's release date was postponed. However, it finally hit theaters worldwide on March 27, 2025, in standard and EPIQ formats. The film has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences, and it has become the fourth-highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025.
