Vettaiyan: Rajinikanth is set to return to the big screen in the highly anticipated, directed by T.J. Gnanavel. This cop action drama has generated significant buzz, with two songs already released. The trailer is scheduled to launch tomorrow, October 2. The film has received a U/A certification from the censor board, with a final runtime of 2 hours, 43 minutes, and 25 seconds. Vettaiyan will premiere globally on October 10, coinciding with the Vijayadasami (Dasara) festival. The release of the theatrical trailer was delayed due to Rajinikanth's unexpected hospitalisation.

The film's censor board certificate has been circulating widely on social media, detailing three dialogue changes—either through word modifications or muted sections—without altering their duration.
