Vijay 69, directed by Akshay Roy, will premiere on November 8 on Netflix. This much-awaited YRF film brings a fresh and inspiring story to the platform, produced by Maneesh Sharma with Akshaye Widhani as co-producer.
The trailer of Vijay 69 introduces Vijay, a restless veteran who finds renewed purpose as he trains for a triathlon. Played by Anupam Kher, Vijay is inspired by his own resilience and the unexpected encouragement of a young companion, portrayed by Mihir Ahuja. Chunky Pandey appears as Vijay's loyal friend, adding warmth and motivation to Vijay’s journey.

According to the YRF website, Vijay 69 highlights the theme of “better late than never,” capturing Vijay’s remarkable journey as he shatters societal stereotypes around ageing. As he tackles the physical and emotional challenges of a triathlon, Vijay’s story mixes humour and heartfelt moments, celebrating the relationships that help him rise above obstacles.
In addition to Anupam Kher, the cast includes Chunky Panday and Mihir Ahuja. Directed by Akshay Roy, the film has been produced by Maneesh Sharma, who praised the team’s collaborative spirit in bringing Vijay 69 to life. Yogendra Mogre serves as the associate producer.
