Vijay Deverakonda announced his next movie VD 12 by sharing an intense poster. He also revealed the release date of VD 12. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and Gowtam Tinnanuri, the action thriller is all set to hit the screen on 28th March 2025. While sharing the look, Vijay wrote “His Destiny awaits him. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Questions. Rebirth. 28 March, 2025. #VD12.” As fans got excited about Deverakonda’s announcement of the next movie, his rumoured girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna could not stop herself from reacting to the poster. She wrote, “Madness.” with a fire emoji.

VD 12 also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Bhagyashri Borse, Koushik Mahata, Keshav Deepak and Manikanta Varanasi in significant roles. Reportedly, it is a spy thriller and will be playing the role of a cop for the first time.
Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in the lead role in The Family Star alongside Mrunal Thakur. The Telugu movie also features Divyansha Kaushik, Rohini Hattangadi, Vasuki Anand, Marissa Rose Gordon, Ajay Ghosh, Ravi Prakash, Abigayle Scobee, Abhinaya and Kota Jayaram in prominent roles. Released on 5th April 2024 in theatres, the family drama is currently streaming on Prime Video and JioCinema. Vijay was also seen making a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The movie starred Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. It released in theatres on 27th June.
