Vir Das achieved a remarkable triumph today at the revered International Emmy Awards ceremony in New York. He secured the prestigious Best Comedy Series award for his Netflix stand-up special, 'Vir Das: Landing,' sharing this esteemed recognition with the third season of the UK series, 'Derry Girls.' Following his significant win, Vir proudly displayed his Emmy award on Instagram, accompanied by a note. 

Taking to Instagram, Vir Das shared two pictures from the ceremony. His caption read, "For India 🇮🇳. For Indian comedy. Every breath, every word. Thank you to the @iemmys for this incredible honour."

As soon as he shared the post, several celebrities commented on the post. Ayushmann Khurrana commented, "Well deserved." Neha Dhupia wrote, "So well done … congratulations Vir @virdas." Malaika Arora commented, "Wow so well deserved …..congratulations @virdas." Rhea Chakraborty wrote, "Wohoooo."

In an official statement, Vir Das expressed his happiness at winning an Emmy Award. He said, "I have immense gratitude, holding the International Emmy for Best Comedy for 'Vir Das:Landing.' This one is for my team and for Netflix without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.
