Dilieep-starrer 'Voice of Sathyanathan' will soon release on the OTT platform after its theatrical run. The movie revolves around Sathyanathan, who is an antique vendor and has problems with his neighbour. He has some tongue slip issues which puts in problems and this tongue slip eventually led to his arrest for allegedly threatening the Indian President.

According to OTTplay, Disney+ Hotstar has bought the streaming rights of 'Voice Of Sathyanathan' and the movie will reportedly release by the end of August 2023.

Apart from Dilieep, the movie also stars Joju George, Veena Nandakumar, Jagapathi Babu, Siddique, Anupam Kher and Vijayaraghavan in pivotal roles.

In an interview with OTTplay, Dilieep talked about changing cinema and the importance of OTT platforms. He said, "The scale of Malayalam cinema is increasing, productions are becoming large in terms of budget, scope, and technical aspects. In such a scenario, avenues like OTT cannot be ignored, as it can also create a global market for the films."

While talking about how the pandemic affected the Malayalam film industry, he told OTTplay, "New releases are censured without giving any breathing space in theatres. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the Malayalam film industry like every other, but despite the setback, other language films have generated substantial profits from our theatres. At the same time, our films are not well received and fall short in terms of theatrical profit.”

For the unversed, 'Voice Of Sathyanathan' was Dilieep's comeback to theatres after a long three-year gap. He was last seen in 'Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan'.
