Wake Up Sid 2: Ranbir Kapoor is currently basking in the success of his latest action drama film 'Animal'. He has given several hit movies in his career but 'Wake Up Sid' holds a special place in his fans' hearts. The actor recently reunited with her 'Wake Up Sid' star Konkona Sensharma, whose character Aisha is loved by the audience. The pictures of Ranbir and Konkona on a set have been going viral on social media and fans are wondering if 'Wake Up Sid 2' is on the cards.

In the pictures and videos, Ranbir can be seen wearing a blue shirt and beige coloured pants. Konkona looks beautiful in a simple white coloured kurta.

'Wake Up Sid' revolves around Siddharth Mehra, who is a spoilt college student and fails in his final exams. He learns to become a responsible and independent man after meeting Aisha, a woman from Kolkata living in Mumbai.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie also stars Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak, Rahul Khanna, Namit Das and Kashmera Shah in pivotal roles.

On the work front, Ranbir was last seen in 'Animal' along with Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. The movie revolves around the dynamics of a father-son relationship, which begins to turn sour and obsessive as the son decides to take revenge on the people who tried to harm his father.

The long runtime of 'Animal' was the topic of discussion ahead of the film's release. Talking about the film's long duration, Ranbir Kapoor said, "We are releasing a film this long not because we feel arrogant about it. We felt that the story required that time to reach the audience in the best way possible. We have seen a cut of this film which was 3 hours and 49 minutes. And that cut was also entertaining.”

He added, "Sandeep has worked very hard to bring the length down. We are hoping that the audience doesn’t get panicked by the length and experience cinema at its best."

Konkona Sensharma was last seen in 'Kuttey' alongside Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Radhika Madan and Kumud Mishra. She will next star in Anurag Basu's film 'Metro In Dino'. She last directed the segment 'The Mirror' in the Netflix anthology film 'Lust Stories 2'.
