Kangana Ranaut, known for her powerful performances and fearless public statements, has established herself as one of the leading figures in Indian cinema. The actress recently made headlines by revealing that she turned down roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, and Sanju, which left many surprised. Now, she added that she was also offered a dance number in Ram Leela, starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, but declined it. Kangana questioned how she could be expected to portray women in such a manner, highlighting her concerns about the role.

In an interview with the NBT entertainment, Kangana Ranaut revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached her for an item number in Ram Leela. She admitted that despite being advised by many to accept the offer, she turned it down, stating that she could not take on such a role, regardless of the director’s stature. "Aap dekh lijiye mujhe Sanjay Leela Bhansali ne bhi Ram Leela film jo hai usme item number ke liye bulaya. Sab logo ne mujhe bola yeh paagal hai, Bhansali ko mana kar rahi. I said main nahi kar sakti. Chaahe Bhansali bula le chaahe koi bhi, I can’t do item numbers. Artists need to show such integrity. Women ko aap kaise portray karte hain…"

One fan responded to the discussion, noting that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had originally offered the song to Aishwarya Rai before it went to Priyanka Chopra, whose performance in the song was exceptional. The fan added that it’s hard to imagine Kangana Ranaut delivering a comparable performance.

A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut revealed that she had turned down roles in films starring Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. In a discussion with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana described Salman Khan as kind, noting that he had offered her a part in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. She questioned the role and chose not to accept it. The actress also mentioned that Salman had proposed a role in Sultan, which she also declined. She recounted Salman’s response, where he wondered what more he could offer her.
