A heartfelt event occurred at the IIFA 2025 stage when Nitanshi Goel won the prized Best Actress trophy for her role in Laapataa Ladies. The actress who portrayed Phool Kumari in Kiran Rao's critically acclaimed movie, got emotional while accepting the honour.

Nitanshi Goel was presented the award by Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Boman Irani. The actress, who made her debut with Oscar nominated movie, was wearing a gorgeous ruby-red gown. However, it was her honest response that really struck a chord with the crowd, not just the award.

Did you know Nitanshi Goel defeated Alia Bhatt (Jigra), Katrina Kaif (Merry Christmas), Yami Gautam (Article 370), and Shraddha Kapoor (Stree 2) to win her first major acting award?
