Imran Khan, known for his charming on-screen presence, has been away from the limelight for some time now. His last Bollywood outing was in 2015 with 'Katti Batti', alongside Kangana Ranaut, which unfortunately did not resonate well with audiences. Amidst speculations about his personal life, including rumours of a strained marriage with then-wife Avantika Malik, Imran recently opened up about his divorce in 2019 in a conversation with Vogue India. Since then, he has found solace and companionship with Indian actor Lekha Washington.
Lekha Washington is a multi-talented personality known for her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Her journey to stardom began with recognition as a sculptor in 2002, followed by a successful stint as a theatre actress in Chennai-based stage plays. She gained prominence as a video jockey with SS Music before transitioning to the silver screen.

Washington's breakthrough role came in the Tamil film 'Jayamkondaan' (2008), where she portrayed an independent estranged sister. Her versatility shone through as she ventured into other regional language films, including the critically acclaimed 'Vedam' and the comedy 'Va'.
In 2010, Washington showcased her acting prowess in three diverse films across different languages. Her role in 'Vedam' was lauded for providing adequate support to the lead character, earning the film both critical acclaim and commercial success. She then charmed audiences with her portrayal of a suicidal schoolgirl in 'Va', showcasing her ability to embody complex characters with ease.
Despite these successes, Washington faced a setback with the romantic Kannada film 'Huduga Hudugi', which failed to make a mark both commercially and critically. However, her resilience and passion for acting remained unshaken. Washington continued to impress audiences with her performances, including a role as Imran Khan's friend in 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola' (2013). However, it was her portrayal of a Tamil Brahmin bride in the romantic comedy 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham' (2013) that truly captured hearts and earned her critical acclaim.
She also penned lyrics for the 2017 film 'Rangoon' starring Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. She penned the lyrics for two songs in the movie: 'Be Still' and 'Shimmy Shake'.
