Simran Singh, also known as Jammu Ki Dhadkan, was a popular Instagram influencer and freelance radio jockey, was found dead in her Gurgaon apartment. Police have been suspecting it as a suicide. Singh’s body was discovered at her rented apartment in Sector 47 by her friend, who later called the police. As per reports, she was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead. The police said that they didn’t find any suicide note. Her family said that the victim was upset for some time due to which she took this drastic step and they don’t hold anyone responsible for her death, as per reports. 

Who Was Simran Singh?

The 25 year old influencer was a resident of Jammu. She was fondly called ‘Jammu Ki Dhadkan’ by her fans. She used to work at a respected radio jockey station. However, she chose to be a freelance radio jockey. Notably, the influencer shared funny and engaging videos on her Instagram. Her Instagram page has 687 K followers. In her last post on December 13, she shared a reel where she was looking beautiful in a gown. She captioned the video, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach #rjsimran #trending #explore #reels #reelsinstagram.”

 

While sharing their condolences to Simran’s Family, Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) wrote on X “Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the JKNC, and Vice President and Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah along with Deputy CM @Surinderch55 have expressed profound grief over the tragic & untimely demise of Simran Singh, popularly known as RJ Simran and lovingly referred to as "Jammu ki Dhadkan.” 

“Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah extended their heartfelt condolences to Simran’s family, friends, and countless fans during this difficult time. They prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to her loved ones to bear this unimaginable loss. "Simran’s voice and charm resonated with the spirit of Jammu and Kashmir. Her contribution to the cultural fabric of our region will always be remembered," they said in a joint statement,” they wrote.
